postd
Features

Fewer steps to a finished post.

postd isn't a kit with everything in it. It's the shortest way from text and image to a carousel that looks like you.

Brand Toolkit

Set it up once. Your presets build themselves.

Set colour, type and logo once, and every template draws on them: headline in your typeface, highlights in your colour, signature with your logo. Change the brand later and all slides follow, the old ones too. The difference to building it yourself is not the ten minutes per post — it is that the twentieth post still looks like the first.

Post Preview

See the post in the feed before it goes up.

Step 02 in the editor is called preview. The editor moves aside and your carousel sits in a phone: your profile name at the top, your logo as the profile picture, real aspect ratio, ready for swiping. A toggle next to it shows the profile grid, so you see how the cover sits between your other posts. At 9:16 you get the story view with progress bars.

Once everything sits right, turn it into a link. It shows exactly these slides for swiping, on any device, without an account and without a download. That way your client gives approval before the post goes out. The link is a snapshot: whatever you change on the post afterwards is not in it, so you just make a new one.

Step by step

How a carousel gets made.

Five moves, recorded in the running editor. No mockup, no re-enactment. This is the interface you get.

The editor needs a mouse and room: it doesn't open on a phone. Viewing and approving work there, building happens on a computer.

  1. 01

    One click, one element

The row above the canvas adds things: text, image, rectangle, circle, line. Text fills in order — headline first, then the subheading, then free blocks — and the new field opens for typing right away.

The pointer moves to the element row, clicks Text, and a new subline appears on the post.
  2. 02

    Show the Safe Zones

Under View. The dashed lines show what Instagram crops, covers with buttons or trims in the profile grid. They are never exported.

The View menu opens, Safe zones gets ticked, and dashed lines appear on the post.
  3. 03

Every element on its own layer

The list on the left: reorder, hide, group, merge, export one by one. A merged layer is an image and can still be moved and zoomed.

One click on the handle at the left edge opens the layer list, holding logo, header, signature, text and image.
  4. 04

    Preview in a phone frame

Second step up top. The post sits in the feed the way it will sit there. The share link goes out from here — clients pin their feedback straight onto the slide, no account needed.

One click on Preview, and the post appears in a phone frame with its feed surroundings.
  5. 05

    Out it goes

JPG or PNG, 1080 or 2160 pixels, one by one or as a numbered ZIP. Full resolution, right dimensions, no re-cropping.

One click on Export, and the options appear on the right: file format, resolution, quality, all slides as a ZIP.
Editorial plan

See your month before you post it.

Finished carousels move into the calendar with one drag, with date, time and category. Free plans one calendar with up to five open entries.

From Pro you subscribe to that calendar in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook: one link, always current. Studio runs six calendars per brand and invites up to five editors per calendar who can add entries themselves.

Moodboards

Board first, post second.

Collect your references on a board and arrange them freely: images, notes, shapes and sketches on one surface without a grid.

Hand the board to your client as a JPG or PDF before the first post gets built. Board export is included from Pro.

In detail

What's inside.

Safe Zones

They keep text out of the areas Instagram covers up in story and feed.

Contrast check

Warns you when light text disappears on a light image, and darkens it in one click.

Batch-Import

Several images at once, spread across slides automatically.

Export

JPG or PNG, 1080 or 2160 pixels, one by one or as a numbered ZIP.

Formats

9:16, 4:5 and 1:1. One click and the whole carousel follows.

Share link with notes

One link shows your carousel to swipe through. Clients pin their feedback straight onto the slide — no account, no files back and forth.

Layers & groups

Every element sits on its own layer: reorder, group, merge, hide. Groups can be flattened and worked on as an image.

Type that breaks properly

Text columns with clean line breaks, a size rail right at the field, anchor points while scaling. Built for magazine layouts, not sticker text.

Brand logo with fixed places

Add your logo once, six clean positions, always the same distance from the edge. On every slide, or on all of them at once.

Collages & grids

Several images per slide in fixed grids, with a crop per cell. Before/after, series, portfolios.

Image correction built in

Crop, zoom, rotation, brightness, contrast, black and white. Enough for the feed without opening Photoshop.

Tracing paper

Lay a reference post over the canvas at half opacity and build your layout along it. One click and it's gone.

Feed preview with your handle

Grid, feed and story in a phone frame, with your @name. You see the post in the profile before it exists.

Editorial calendar

Drag finished carousels onto a date, with time and category. Free plans up to five open entries.

Subscribe link for Apple, Google and Outlook

From Pro you subscribe to your editorial plan in your own calendar. One link, always current.

Moodboards with JPG and PDF export

Collect references on a board and arrange them freely. Export as JPG or PDF is included from Pro.

Autosave & cloud

Every step is saved locally, and with an account your projects live in the cloud, available on two devices at once. Undo across 60 steps.
