How to turn images into a PDF
- Drop your images, one per page. JPG, PNG, WebP and iPhone HEIC photos work, up to 50 images.
- Choose the page size: A4 (210 × 297 mm), US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) or Image size, where each page is as large as its image.
- With A4 or Letter, pick the orientation. Automatic gives wide images a landscape page and tall images a portrait page. Then choose a margin and whether the whole image fits on the page or fills it.
- Change the order with the Earlier and Later buttons, or remove a page you do not need.
- Pick the quality and download the PDF.
A4, Letter or image size?
- A4 is the paper size in most of the world. Use it for documents, forms and anything you will print in Europe.
- Letter is the standard in the United States and Canada.
- Image size makes every page exactly as large as its image, with no margin and no bars. Use it for slides, screenshots and designs that should look the same on screen as in the file.
Standard or High quality
On A4 and Letter, Standard draws each page at 150 dpi and High at 300 dpi. 150 dpi reads well on screen and keeps the file small, 300 dpi is the usual choice for printing. A4 at 300 dpi is 2480 × 3508 px per page, so a PDF with many pages gets large. With Image size the pages keep the pixels of your images, up to 4096 px on the long side.
What the PDF contains
Every page is a picture. The PDF looks like your images, but the text in it cannot be selected or searched, because nothing reads the text for you. If you need searchable text, run the PDF through an OCR tool afterwards. Transparent areas of PNG images become the background colour you choose.
What happens to your images?
Nothing leaves your device. Your browser reads the images and writes the PDF itself, so there is no upload and no server involved. That makes it safe for contracts, receipts and unreleased client work. You can check it yourself: open the network tab of your browser while you use the tool, and you will see no image request.
FAQ
How do I convert JPG to PDF?
Drop the JPG files on the tool, choose A4, Letter or Image size and click Download PDF. Each image becomes one page, in the order you see in the thumbnails.
Can I combine several images into one PDF?
Yes. Drop up to 50 images, put them in order with the Earlier and Later buttons and download one PDF with all pages.
Does it work with iPhone photos in HEIC?
Yes. HEIC photos are converted in your browser and placed in the PDF like any other image.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The PDF is built in your browser. Your images stay on your device.
Why can I not select the text in the PDF?
Every page is an image. The tool does not recognise text. For searchable text, run the PDF through an OCR tool.
