How to make a LinkedIn carousel PDF
- Drop your slide images, one per page. They become the pages in the order you added them.
- Choose the page format. 4:5 and 1:1 are common for carousels, 16:9 suits wide layouts.
- Choose how each image fills its page: Crop to fill cuts the edges, Fit whole image keeps all of it on a colour. Select a page to move its crop.
- Reorder pages with the Earlier and Later buttons, then download the PDF.
- On LinkedIn, start a post, choose Add a document and select the PDF. Check LinkedIn's current limits for file size and page count.
Designing slides that read well in a PDF
- Use large type. People swipe through on a phone, so a slide has to read at a glance.
- One idea per slide. A short headline and a few lines carry more than a full paragraph.
- Keep the same layout on every slide, with margins that leave room on all sides.
- Make the first slide a hook and the last one a clear next step.
Quality and file size
Each page is exported as a JPEG at the size of the page format, for example 1080 × 1350 px, and placed in the PDF without further compression. That keeps text crisp and files small. Keep an eye on the number of pages: ten sharp slides make a PDF of a few megabytes.
What happens to your images?
Nothing leaves your device. Your browser reads the images and writes the PDF itself, so there is no upload and no server involved. That also makes it safe for unreleased client work. You can check it yourself: open the network tab of your browser while you use the tool, and you will see no image request.
